DeColonizing Our Bodies - A Black Women's Healing Circle
Time & Location
About the Event
The back that was whipped and beaten. The head that was clubed and bled. The barefeet ran bloody and then marched a century later. The shoulders breaking from the burden it bears. The hands wrinkled beyond years from scrubing toilets. The breast that fed their children while our children sat home alone. The wrist weighted by chains and the pain of handcuffs too tight. And then there is the neck, that could not survive the noose or the knee.
Please join me in this proprietary blend of spirituality and reverence as we acknowledge the pain we have internalized as individuals but also the generational oppression we carry as daughters of the diaspora. In this space we honor and bless our body, we show reverence to the body for all that it has held for us. For centuries.
This is specifically about how white supremacy lives in our body, how we sustain it and the decolonizing of our bodies using the breath, chanting, soul journeying, Spiritual and Ancestor support.
